NASCAR fans were in for a special treat on Friday.

In preparation for the upcoming Talladega Superspeedway Race, the official Talladega Pace Car made a stop in Bay County.

Coco-cola and Mcdonald’s are getting fans excited for next month’s race which will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year by taking the pace car on tour.

It will stop at nine McDonalds in Alabama and the Florida panhandle in just five days and this morning the car was in Panama City at the McDonald’s on Thomas Drive.

Those wanting to attend the race in person can get a deal on their race tickets just for getting a soda at McDonald’s from now up until race weekend.

If you get one of these cups at McDonald’s you can get $10 off each ticket so you know if you have a family of four that’s coming out you got four tickets you can get $40 off, said Chance Jones, Director of Corporate Partnerships, Talladega Superspeedway.

Race weekend kicks off on April 26th.
