Moss, Bowen Named to USSSA All American Teams

Two young ball players are making Panhandle history, as they will be representing the area on the USSSA All-American team.

11 year old Cooper Moss and 12 year old Blake Bowen were selected from thousands of young baseball players to play on the All-American team for the Atlantic Region (includes Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina). Only 24 kids from each region make the teams, which will be then broken down into two teams of 12.

Cooper will play with the 11U team, and Blake will play with 12U. Their games will be televised and played August 4th through 11th in Vero Beach.

"I was really excited about knowing that I can go play with other kids that are the best,” Bowen says, “I've done things that are close to this, but not as big as this."

"It was really exciting when I made the team,” Moss says, “I was like, 'to be able to be the best, you've got to beat the best.' I really want to play that really good competition in the country."
