Mosley alumni selected to compete in the 2019 Department of Defense Warrior Games

Mosley alumni and son of Mosley’s volleyball coach Dalton Mask has been selected to represent the Army team in the 2019 Department of Defense Warrior Games.

The games are held in Tampa, Fl. in June. The games will have over 300 warrior athletes competing in it.

Each athlete who competes has some upper-body, lower-body, or spinal cord injuries; traumatic brain injuries, visual impairment or another serious illness.

Mask was diagnosed with an incurable brain cancer a few years back. He went through two brain surgeries, six rounds of radiation and over a year of chemotherapy. He traveled to Texas in the beginning of March to try out for the games, but then caught the flu which kept him in his hotel room for a majority of the tryouts.

Mask has been through some incredible feats and now he’s about to embark on another journey.
