Joe Skipper wins Ironman Florida

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WMBB)– The Ironman Florida returned to Panama City Beach on Saturday.

Athletes swam, biked, and ran a total of 140.6 miles in the race.

The overall winner was Ironman pro athlete, Joe Skipper.

He finished with a time of 7:46:28.

Skipper was just two minutes ahead of Ironman pro, Ben Hoffman.

“I just gave it everything and I was like if he catches me now than I can’t do anything, but I just dug in,” said Skipper.
