Lady Commodores complete mission of inspiring Panama City

Sports

The Gulf Coast Lady Commodores overcame a lot just to play basketball this season.

The team Lost Keshawn Johnson to a tragic car crash in September and then went through Hurricane Michael in October.

A little more than five months after the hurricane hit though they would become national champions yet again.

The mission was to try to provide maybe some hope and inspiration for some people on campus and in the community that have struggled and still trying to figure this thing out in the recovery process and so hopefully these young ladies have given them some inspiration, said Head Coach Mary ‘RoonieSchovel.
