Freeport Running Back K’wan Powell Receives Offer from FSU

Freeport High School rising sophomore running back K‘wan Powell has received an offer from Florida State Seminoles Offensive Coordinator Walt Bell.

The ball began rolling for his recruitment this spring, when Freeport Head Coach Shaun Arntz got in contact with the Noles new coaching staff.

They were immediately impressed with Powell’s film, hosted him in April at the spring game, and ultimately offered him after he attended a running back camp in Tallahassee on June 10th.

According to Maxpreps, as a freshman, Powell run for nearly 1700 yards on 202 carries – averaging more than eight yards per carry – and 23 total touchdowns.

It’s not the first offer Powell has received. He also has offers from UCF, USF, South Alabama, and Southern Miss, among others.
