PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – It was a good day for Arnold athletics. Eight athletes signed to continue playing at the collegiate level.
Arnold Athletic Director Rick Green said it was the biggest signing class he has seen since he started working there.
Three track and field athletes, two soccer, two basketball and one football player.
Henri Gainer heading to Northwest Tech in Kansas, Quin Ford going to Southwestern Community College, and Jacob Buatu on a full ride to Cincinnati Christian. All three of these athletes were on the fourth-fastest 4×100 team in school history with a time of 42.96.
Braxton Dye will be playing football at Bluefield College in the fall. He was a 2-year started on the Marlins offensive line and also was a weightlifter on the weightlifting team.
Liam Kearns and Tyler Wilson, both big parts of the Marlins soccer team, will stay teammates at the University of West Florida.
Basketball big man Chandler Taylor will be going to Maryville College and his teammate and the Marlins three-point machine Zach Sinclair heading to Valdosta State.
