Campbell to Step Down as Head Basketball Coach at Chipola

MARIANA, Fla. - Bret Campbell is set to step down as Head Basketball Coach at Chipola College.

The school confirms that Campbell has sent in his resignation, and that it will officially be announced at a press conference tomorrow at 1:30.

He spent three years coaching the Indians, compiling a record of 61-29 – including 22-8 last season – as Chipola finished as State Runner-Up.

Campbell came to Chipola originally from Tennessee-Martin, where he spent ten years as Head Coach, and took over an Indians team that had just finished 10-19.

In his first year their record improved to 17-13, then 22-8 the next year.

We will update this story after the official resignation on Wednesday.
