Arnold High School names Norris Vaughan as their next head football coach

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – Arnold High School has named Norris Vaughan as their next head football coach.

Vaughan comes from Phoenix, Arizona. He was the former head coach of Mountain Pointe High School. In his eight years there, he had a 99-18 record and led the team to the 2013 Arizona State Championship. They were state runners-up in 2012 and 2016.

Vaughan has over 34 years of coaching experience. He was the Arizona Cardinals State Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2009 and he was the State Coach of the Year in Arizona in 2012 and 2006. He’s been selected 18 times as the Area/Region Coach of the Year and was a 2013 NFL Don Shula Award Nominee.

Vaughan resigned from coaching in 2017 to move closer to family in Georgia, but he’s decided he wants to have another stab at coaching.

Coach Vaughan will be introduced to the public at Arnold High School on Wednesday afternoon.
