PANAMA CITY, Fla. - Panama City Police is investigating where and why a woman was stabbed in the chest early Tuesday morning.
Panama City Police officers said the victim was transported to the hospital for her injury from Captain D's on 23rd Street in Panama City, but that is not where she was stabbed.
Officer said the woman was walking to the hospital for treatment, but stopped to call for help in the Captain D's parking lot, which is right next to Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center.
Officers said she was alert and talking and her injury did not appear life threatening.
Officers are determining where this happened and the circumstances leading to her injury.
