Veteran Ministry Holds Church Service In Bar

News

Bars and churches are an unlikely combination but two organizations joined forces for a special gathering.

Local veteran run ministry, Guerrilla Faith, held their first service at Coyote Ugly Saloon.

Welcoming not just first responders and military personnel but anybody who wished to simply sit down, hear testimonies and share the word of God.

Guerrilla Faith ministry founder, Bryan Joy, said the setting of a bar was specifically chosen to make the service a uniquely casual one.

“We want to be a place where people feel comfortable to come in with their jeans, t-shirts, shorts, flip flops and just listen. They may pick up something about their faith that they didn’t know. We believe it’s a place for the people in the community that’s comfortable. They can talk about what’s going on in their lives in a real way,” said Joy.

Guerrilla Faith plans to hold their service at Coyote Ugly on the second Sunday of every month at 5pm.
