UPDATE: Injured Bicyclist Identified in Crash in Panama City Beach

According to Panama City Beach Police, Nathaniel Fournoy, 32, was seriously injured when he was riding his bicycle across Back Beach Rd, near Richard Jackson Blvd., Wednesday afternoon.

A bicyclist was struck in Panama City Beach late Wednesday afternoon. 

Officers responded to a traffic crash at the intersection of Panama City Beach Parkway at Richard Jackson Boulevard at about 4:30 this afternoon.

According to Panama City Beach Police officers, a 32-year-old Panama City Beach man was attempting to cross Panama City Beach Parkway on a bicycle in the pedestrian crosswalk when he was struck by a car driven by Andrew Leptrone, 19, also of Panama City Beach. He was traveling east on Panama City Beach Parkway. 

The bicyclist was seriously injured and was taken to Bay Medical Center. The crash was turned over to the Panama City Beach Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit for further investigation.
