Underwater Dive Cleanup Helps Protect Marine Life from Litter and Trash

Around ten divers hopped on board for the underwater adventure. The crew boated about six miles off shore to a wreck. Divers said they try to clean the wrecks as frequently as possible. They often see personal items such as sunglasses and plastic materials. All items that can be harmful to marine life.

"We did find loose fishing line, some debris like parts of equipment like camera pieces or diving items, and we were able to pick those up and get them out of the way so no marine life could ingest them,"  said Brian Robinson, Divers Den Store Manager.
