MARIANNA, Fla. — Two people are arrested for burglary in Jackson County after a man checking on his family’s home spotted them.

It happened just before 5:30 on Wednesday evening off Reddoch Road in Marianna.

Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies say when Ricky Martin went to check on the house, he saw a man and woman walking away from the residence.

Deputies said he walked to the back of the house and saw the door forced open and a suspicious car nearby.

Using their K-9 team, deputies found Tillman McCroan and Dayna Pumphrey in a wooded area near the house.

They are now facing charges for burglary, grand theft and possession of meth and marijuana.
