Twice-a-Week Garbage Pick-up in Panama City to Resume

News

Starting next week, the city of Panama City will be back to twice-a-week garbage collection. When services were moved to once-a-week, the city lowered service payments by $7.00. Beginning in March, the city will resume the normal garbage payment rates. City leaders said the change in the pick-up schedule was due being filled with debris after hurricane michael.

“Now that we’ve moved the debris out of the way, we are now able to restore the services to the city of panama city, with that, there will be a corresponding readjustment back to the original rate which is roughly 28 dollars per month for your trash service as well as your garbage service,” said Mark Mcqueen, Panama City City Manager.

Changes were made to the collection schedule used prior to Hurricane Michael. Customers are encouraged to check the updated map for new collection days here
