PANAMA CITY, Fla.– Hurricane Michael may have claimed a majority of the area’s trees but one giveaway is helping to re-imagine our landscape.

The team at Dawson LLC along with Tyndall Air Force base will be giving away 500 free trees on Wednesday, June 5th.

Trees include red maples, live oaks, river birch, and Florida elms.

It will be held from 9 to 2 p.m. at Harvey Dee Mathis park. The free giveaway is first come, first serve.

You can receive up to 2 trees per household and organizers ask that you bring a water or electric bill to prove residency.
