The Bay County Sheriff’s office has arrested three people after a teacher reported them for possible child neglect.

A child at Southport Elementary had complained about leg and tooth pain on Friday. The teacher then discovered the child had blisters and burns from her knees to her ankles and rotting teeth. The child was immediately taken to the hospital.
DCF then went to the child’s home and say the conditions in the home were deplorable. The mother– 29 year-old Jessica Morris was then charged with three counts of child neglect.

Two other adults in the home, Heather Boggess and Christopher Boggess, were also arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.

The children were placed in the custody of DCF and are awaiting placement.
