A Tallahassee woman was critically injured Sunday morning when the car she was riding in was t-boned in Northern Bay County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Hwy 20 and Blue Springs Rd.
Troopers said Alexander and Emily Huff and their two young children were driving home to Tallahassee from Panama City Beach in a 2005 Honda Civic when Alexander told troopers he didn’t see the stop sign at Blue Springs and skid into the path of a Chevrolet Equinox going west on 20.
Emily, 32, was rushed to Bay Medical Sacred Heart, where she underwent surgery Sunday afternoon. Alexander, 28, was also taken to Bay Med with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Troopers said the two children ages two and four didn’t have a scratch and credited that to the fact they were restrained in age appropriate car seats.
The other driver Joanna Odom, 42, of Southport wasn’t injured.
Troopers are still investigating the crash and charges against Alexander are pending.
