‘Spread the Love’ Block Party raises spirits for a good cause

News

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Many know him as the ‘Spread the Love Guy,’ but dozens came out Friday to show their support for Decaris Hunter.

Held at Plum Delightful, participants joined Decaris in ‘spreading the love’ by bringing their signs and waving to motorists passing by.

Those in attendance said they wanted to join in on the message of love and positivity.

The event was a true block party with a cookout, music, and more.

The man behind it all says this event was a chance for others to experience what he does every day.

“I kind of wanted to bring the city to my world. I wanted them to see, to feel the love, to feel the positivity, to see exactly why I come out here every single day and as you can see everybody loves it, so it’s working!” said Decaris Hunter.

The event also raised money for the Children’s Advocacy Center.
