Silver Airways is parting ways with Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport.

Airport Executive Director Parker McClellan confirmed the move Tuesday afternoon.

Silver began offering flights to Tampa and Orlando in March of last year. McClellan says Silver plans to focus on a new business model involving flights to Cuba.

He added that more information will be released at tomorrow’s Airport Board meeting. Silver’s last flights at the airport will take place in August of this year.
