SANDESTIN, Fla. - Thousands of people are unwinding for the weekend at the 32nd annual Sandestin Wine Festival.
More than 2000 people were treated to taste tests of hundreds of wines from around the world, culinary treats and live music.
The Sandestin Wine Festival has been named the "Best Annual Event" by Destin Magazine and is known as the best event in the Visit South Walton Beaches Wine and Food Festival Area.
All of the proceeds from the festival benefit the Fisher House of Emerald Coast and Sandestin Foundation for kids.
"This is why we do these kinds of events. We want to bring the community together as well as guests from all over the region. It's just a lot of fun for us, and to know that its all going back to charity. It's a lot of hard work, we have a really small team but we bring in over 500 volunteers to do this event, and we couldn't do it without them. It's just a whole community effort to make it happen," said Julie Stuckey, Event Manager of The Village of Baytowne Wharf.
