Regions Bank lending a hand for debris cleanup in Jackson County

In Jackson County, debris cleanup is still in full swing.

So far, the county has removed and estimated 6.5-million cubic yards of debris, but they’re not quite finished.

Wednesday, Regions Bank announced they will be assisting in the long-term recovery process by allowing a $20 million line of credit for further cleanup efforts.

The county still has an estimated 1.5-million cubic yards of debris remaining.

Officials said the line of credit from Regions will allow debris removal to move forward while the county awaits fema reimbursements and isnurance proceeds.
