The city of Panama City along with FEMA will launch a program to remove debris from private property on February 25th to help residents clear Hurricane Michael related debris. The city will accept applications from Panama City residents from the 25th thru May 4th.
Applications to PPDR are subject to the review of the City and FEMA for PPDR eligibility, and all properties will require inspection prior to debris removal. Submission of a PPDR application does not guarantee that the resident will qualify for the City’s PPDR Program. Property owners who have received insurance proceeds or other financial benefits to complete debris removal work on their property will not be eligible for the PPDR Program.
By electing to participate in the PPDR Program, residents will grant the City’s debris removal contractors entrance to their residential property to inspect and remove disaster-generated debris.
In order to qualify, homeowners must:
1.Be the legal owner of a residential property within Panam
a City; and
2.Submit a complete PPDR application by May 4th, 2019 that includes the following:
a.Signed right of entry form;
b.Copy of a valid Florida ID or driver’s license;
c.Insurance policy, including declaration page and settlement statements, if
d.Documentation of any additional benefits already received including, but not
limited to, insurance proceeds, Small Business Administration, or FEMA
Additionally, the City of Panama City has not determined the final date for storm-generated debris removal.
