GRACEVILLE, Fla. - A robotics team from Poplar Springs high school in Graceville needs your help after they were robbed on the way to a tournament.
The two students and their sponsor left Wednesday morning on their way to Dartmouth, Massachusetts. The trio made a stop in Atlanta for lunch.
While they were eating, their car was broken into and all of their electronics stolen. One of the laptops taken had ten years worth of data on it along with the code for a new robot the team was trying to build.
This loss is not only a major setback competition wise, but also a major dent in funds. It cost the team $4,500 to travel to this competition and now the team is trying to raise money through a go fund me to replace the stolen items.
