Parker Police are investigating a dog attack that left a man with bite wounds to his face.

The attack happened around 9:00 p.m. Saturday night at a home on Highway 22A, according to authorities.

Lt. Aaron Wilson said the victim and his roommate, the dog’s owner, were arguing when the dog likely sensed its owner was in danger and bit the side of the man’s face.

Bay County Animal Control officers responded and confiscated the dog. It will be quarantined for a period of time, but there is no word yet on what will happen to the dog afterwards.

Police said they are still working to determine if charges in the case are appropriate.
