Firefighters investigate RV fire in Panama City mall parking lot

Panama City

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – An RV caught fire in the old Sears’ parking lot at Highway 77 and Highway 231 shortly before noon Friday.

Panama City officials said no one was injured, but two people have been displaced. American Red Cross has been called to assist.

The Panama City Fire Chief Alex Baird said this fire serves as a good reminder to check your fire extinguishers in your home. The owner of the RV tried to use his fire extinguisher but it didn’t work.

Panama City firefighters are investigating how the fire started.
