PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB)– UPDATE: Panama City police officers say a man lit a fire in a Dollar General on Sunday night.
The incident at the Harrison Avenue Dollar General began started with a robbery call at about 6:46 p.m. at the Dollar Tree on Business 98. Officers were then called to the Dollar General on Harrison Avenue at about 7:17 p.m.
Officers wrote in a news release that the suspect lit a fire in the store while employees barricaded themselves away from the suspect. Officers arrived at the store and arrested 39-year-old, Nathan Roderick Williams as he was exiting the business.

Williams was combative with officers, kicking them and spitting on them as he was being arrested, officers added.
The Panama City Fire Department responded to extinguish the fire and the State Fire Marshal responded to jointly conduct the arson investigation.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Williams was charged with robbery, arson, criminal mischief, resisting an officer with violence, battery on a law enforcement officer, and resisting an officer without violence.

Sunday night, Panama City Police responded to an armed robbery at the Dollar General on Harrison Avenue.
According to police, the suspect pulled out substances to start a fire and proceeded to barricade himself inside the store. He also attempted to rob the store.
The suspect has not been identified, but police say he is in custody at this time.
