A Panama City police officer has been arrested after failing to report the sexual abuse of a child.
Reports say police officer Kurn Lam, was made aware of an incident where a 7 year-old child was being sexually abused.
Lam failed to report the act to the department of children and families which is required by law. He was booked into the Bay County jail on one count of failure to report.
The police department has no comment on the incident at this time but have told News 13 that Lam has been dismissed as an officer.
