Panama City Firefighters responded to a house fire at 906 Mulberry Avenue around 6:00 a.m. Sunday.

When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home.

Firefighters said they were able to quickly put out the bulk of the fire, but the construction of the house made it tough to access some areas. The entire structure suffered significant smoke and fire damage.

No one was home when the fire started.

The State Fire Marshal is assisting in the investigation.
