PANAMA CITY, Fla. — An early morning fire damages a Panama City home.
It happened shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday at a home on Kirkland Avenue. Crews responded within minutes to the scene and found heavy smoke coming from the home.
Initial reports said there was someone inside when the fire started.
Firefighters began an extensive search and located one person inside the home. The individual was transported to Bay Medical and is said to be in stable condition.
The home sustained fire and smoke damage throughout the entire building.
The cause is under investigation.
