One Person Dead, Person of Interest Still on the Loose After Allen Avenue Shooting


Panama City Police confirmed one person died on scene from gunshot wounds after a shooting on Allen Avenue Thursday night in Panama City. 

Police said three others suffered gunshot wounds and were transported to local hospitals. Police said they remain in serious condition as of Friday afternoon. 

According to Panama City Police Chief Scott Ervin, police are investigating a shooting on the 100 block of Allen Avenue in Panama City.

When police arrived on scene around 11 p.m. Thursday they found several victims suffering gunshot wounds.

Police believe the shooting began outside and then moved inside one of the homes on Allen Avenue.

Michael Harrison Hunt, 53, is the person of interest police believe is responsible for the shooting.

Police have been looking for Hunt for a few days now, he is wanted on a non-related sexual offense. 

Friday afternoon detectives located the black 2015 Ford Explorer with Florida tag ETCT72 that Hunt was known to operate, but Hunt’s whereabouts are unknown at this time.
