SPRINGFIELD, Fla. - One person was killed after a disagreement at a construction site turned into a shooting, according to Springfield Police Chief Barry Roberts.
The incident happened at about 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon on Pinnacle Pines Road in Springfield.
Roberts said about seven individuals were in a disagreement and two guns were pulled during the fight. One of the individuals fired several shots in the altercation.
Roberts says the five other individuals at the site are in custody by the Bay County Sheriff's Office.
Neighbors of the home say the homeowner hasn't lived in the home since Hurricane Michael due to damage but police have spoken with the owners.
The identities of the individuals involved have not yet been released
Police are unsure where the construction workers are from. The vehicles on scene had an Alabama tag but the trailers attached to them have a Bay County, Florida tag.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and died from his injuries.
