Mother Who ‘Kept Quiet’ After Son’s Murder Pleads Guilty in Court

A mother who allegedly kept quiet after her six-week-old son was killed by his father pled guilty in court on Monday.

In 2017, Yanoshua Ramos Melendez was charged with aggravated manslaughter.

Police say when her son was killed, Melendez knew about it but didn’t report it and even helped in disposing of the infant’s body.

On Monday, March 25th, Melendez pled guilty to aggravated child abuse.

She faces a sentence between 13 and 22 years.

She goes back to court for that sentencing on April 24th.

Judge Christopher Patterson will be presiding.
