Good news out of Panama City.
T.J. Maxx and Home Goods stores announcing they will reopen on May 19th.
Rebuilding around the panhandle continues, so we are keeping an eye on local businesses as they re-open.
In this weeks Open For Biz. sponsored by GED Lawyers, we focus on two businesses that are helping residents and local businesses get back to normal.
As businesses re-opened right after the storm and even today one aspect of doing business that was greatly needed was the ability to take credit cards.
That’s where locally owned Merchant Management Group or MMG came in.
MMG gave customers the ability to take credit cards even though most businesses had no power.
A card reader simply plugged into a cell phone and along with an app allowed business owners the ability to accept cards.
MMG owner Rodney Friend said the entire MMG staff jumped in to help immediately after the storm.
“in addition to handing out water and supplies we handed out card readers mobile card readers so that customers could accept credit card payments, so we are looking to the future we have new products news services and we are growing every day”.
If you’re in need of credit cards services call MMG at 747-0664.
If you’re needing a place to sleep in the Callaway area Woodspring Suites is back open.
Woodspring Suites is located right across from the Callaway Walmart and offers rooms for rent on a daily. Weekly and monthly basis, and has three different styles of rooms to pick from.
To get hold of Woodspring Suites call 747 8601.
