After two days, the search for two missing persons ends tragically with the discovery of their bodies.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says Alvin Glenn Martina, of Apalachicola, was reported missing on January 24. His family told deputies that he was last seen on January 22.

Family members said he and Kaitlyn Noel Guillotte, of Apalachicola, went to the Apalachicola National Forest to look for firewood.

After an extensive search, deputies found the white Jeep they were traveling in. Guillotte and Martina were found dead inside the truck.

Investigators say there is no evidence of foul play. Autopsies will be performed Wednesday.

The National Forest Service, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Liberty County Sheriff’s Office and local aviation pilots assisted in the search.
