Mexico Beach Council Reads Revised Beach Vendor Ordinance

Mexico Beach Reads Beach Vendor Ordinance

MEXICO BEACH, Fla. - Mexico Beach City Council members conduct their first reading on the beach vendor ordinance after 'Leave No Trace' sparked months of debate.

The revised ordinance provides a limited exception to 'Leave No Trace' for holders of a beach vending permit.

'Leave No Trace' prohibits unattended items left overnight on the beach. It became an issue for beach vendors after it was passed last April.

The beach vendor ordinance also prohibits heavy wooden lounger-style chairs on the beach after September 30th of this year.

The council is scheduled to have the second reading February 13th.
