Mexico Beach Voters to Decide on "Leave No Trace" Ordinance

MEXICO BEACH, Fla. (WMBB) — The Mexico Beach city council voted Tuesday to close the city’s beaches.

City leaders had hoped to keep the beaches open for residents but saw an influx of visitors to the beach after Panama City Beach and Bay County closed.

The closure begins at midnight and is scheduled to last for two weeks.
