Man Killed in Bucket Truck Near Power Lines

Springfield, Fla. - First responders were on scene Friday afternoon after a man was found dead in a bucket truck near power lines. 

The incident happened shortly after 3 pm. on Cocoa Avenue in Springfield. 

Panama City Fire, Springfield police, and Gulf Power employees all responded to the scene. According to Springfield Police Chief Barry Roberts, the 35 year old man was an employee of a local tree trimming business and came into contact with active power lines.  his name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.

Authorities closed the road for several hours, and power was also shut down in the area. This is a developing story and we will have more information as it becomes available.
