The Christmas spirit was in the air in Lynn Haven Saturday. The city hosted its “Winter Wonderland” shopping event through the day.
More than 90 vendors filled Florida Avenue between Seventh and Ninth Street. They sold arts, crafts, food and many items that make great gifts for the holidays. The Lynn Haven fire and police departments were also there, providing entertainment for the kids. While the event was a business boost for some vendors, others decided to give back, like the Filipino American Association.
“This is to share our blessing. The community has been very, very good so we are giving it back to the community, whatever we make here today, we give it to different charity projects,” said president of the organization, Lorelie Quillen.
The city has held the event at Sheffield Park for the last five years, but moved locations this year as the park is being renovated.
