Lynn Haven Commission Decide On Approach To Find New City Manager

News

The Lynn Haven city commission discussed significant issues and potential changes during their meeting, such as some of the citizen’s dissatisfaction with the current EPCI home inspection process and possibly hiring a city’s own private inspector.

The board also considered paying back the money from the half cent sales tax in a more expedited manner, rather than the current system of paying in small incraments every six months.

As for the city’s search for a new city manager, the commission approved on using a more in-house approach.

“The commission agreed that they would start the process of RFP, looking for a proposal for a new city manager by using option one which would be that the city itself would send out the request instead of hiring a firm to do that for us,” said Margo Anderson, City of Lynn Haven mayor.

The board also approved a shot clinic that could be held every other month as well as an extension of the city’s debris haulers’ contracts.
