Lucky Puppy Rescue Helps Clean Up Beaches

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - A local rescue shelter brought some puppies to help clean Panama City Beach Saturday afternoon.

The Lucky Puppy Rescue partnered with Pineapple Willy's to host their 1st annual beach clean up.

More than 85 people came out to help the puppies clean up the beach.

For every volunteer that participated in the event, $10 was donated to the Lucky Puppy rescue to help change the luck of rescue dogs forever.

Organizers say its a great way to get kids and dogs involved in the community.

"We always have between 100 and 150 dogs in the rescue at any one time and its great for them to be socialized. We like to come out and do things here, but we also invite people to come volunteer at the farm to help socialize, help clean up their areas, teach the puppies some leash manners and things like that," said Teri Mattson, Lucky Puppy Rescue Director.
