PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WMBB) — Multiple agencies responded to Dee’s Hangout after a fire broke out shortly before 10 a.m. Firefighters from Panama City Beach Fire Rescue were first on scene, then called in Bay County Fire Rescue and South Walton Fire District once they saw smoke coming from the front entrance’s roof.

Panama City Beach Fire Rescue Chief Larry Couch told News 13 the fire appeared to be electrical in nature, but the State Fire Marshal was on the way to investigate. No one was injured in the fire.

Couch said Dee’s Hangout, located in the Shoppes at Edgewater Thursday morning, suffered minor damage to the front overhang section. He also said firefighters had to work through multiple layers of debris in order to knock down the flames.
