A local donut lover hit the jackpot: $5,000 cash, a new title, and her face on a billboard.
Rana Al-Nahhas entered an Entenmann’s donuts contest she saw on Twitter and eventually won. One of her main duties as one of the company’s first “Chief Donut Officers” will be to contribute new donut flavor ideas.
On Monday, to celebrate her new title, Entenmann’s put the new donut officer’s face up on a billboard off 23rd Street in Panama City.
“I don’t like attention drawn to me and I’ve done a bunch of interviews so far because of this and everyone’s ‘like are you the donut girl?’ and I’m like ‘yeah that’s me’. But I mean it’s cool, I’ve never had my face on a billboard it’s exciting,” she said.
Along with the new title and cash, she won free Entenmann’s donuts for an entire year.
