Jackson County has set a final day for residents to have eligible debris to the right of way.
At Tuesday night’s county commission meeting, the board of commissioners decided it was time to put an end to the debris removal process.
The last day for residents to bring their debris to the road side is this Saturday, March 30, 2019.
The county has seen more and more ineligible debris being brought to the right of way, which is part of the reason they decided to cut it off.
Officials said, there will be no more extensions.
“After this Saturday, any debris that is found or caught being brought out to the right of way will be notified and the landowner, homeowner will potentially be responsible for removing it,” said Jayson Cain, road and bridge superintendent.
Florida Department of Transportation is set be finished hauling debris from the roadsides by April 15, 2019.
