Input from Local Businesses Needed

Hurricane Michael left a lasting impact on businesses throughout the Florida Panhandle. Local chambers of commerce, economic development organizations and regional planning councilsare teaming together to get  some help to build a more resilient economy.

They are asking for business owners to fill out a voluntary needs assessment to assist in identifying recovery priorities. The assessment will be available until march 15th. The assessment is being conducted for the region by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) – a 92-year-old independent nonprofit with disaster recovery expertise – with funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration.

You can complete the assessment online at: href=””> It should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. Data and opinions gathered will be anonymous and used to inform support organizations  about the services and programs needed to support local business recovery. Individual business information will remain strictly confidential, and data will only be shared in aggregate in a final report to local stakeholders. However, through the assessment, business owners can request to be contacted by support organizations for follow-up assistance.
