Incoming Arnold principal gets acquainted with new faculty and staff members

News

Jinks Middle School is saying ‘goodbye’ to it’s principal while Arnold High School welcomes its new leader in. The new principal introduced himself to Arnold’s faulty and staff on Monday.

Britt Smith was principal at Jinks since 2014. He has more than 25 years working in school administration and 33 years of education experience total.

Arnold’s old principal, Keith Bland, will become Bay High School’s new head coach.

“I want to be able to look around and see the work that they’re doing here, to be able to listen to the teachers and the community, [and] to find out what we need to do to help our high school to continue to move forward. Most importantly, learn about the importance of Arnold to this community and how it can make a positive difference going forward,” Smith said.

He doesn’t have a start date yet but anticipates beginning as principal within the next couple of weeks.
