We are beginning to see old businesses and relatively new businesses re-open in and around Bay County.

In this weeks ‘Open For Biz’ sponsored by GED Lawyers. Chris Marchand focus’ on Courtyard by Marriott, Tazikis Restaurant, Hallmark Flowers and Coopers Drugs.

We begin with one building that has been home to two longtime businesses here in Panama City.

At the corner Business Hwy 98 and MLK Boulevard, you’ll find a new brightly colored building that is home to Hallmark Flowers and Coopers Drugs.

Coopers Drugs has all the medicines you need from over the counter to prescription and if you need them to. They will bring your medicine to you.

Right next door to Coopers in Hallmark Flowers. Hallmark has an arrangement for every occasion along with gifts and cards.

Harrison McElheney, owner of Hallmark Flowers said, employees and customers alike are happy to see them back in their building, He said “If this is wonderful because we were in such a small place for those several months and it’s just nice to be able to stretch your arms a little bit we’ve done a lot of upgrades to the building and the building it looks a lot of different stains all of them more and maybe it’ll help yourself in the long run”.

Heading up to 23rd street and recently Taziki’s Mediterranean cafe celebrated their grand re-opening of its Panama City restaurant In the Coronado Village.

Taziki’s menu is known for its original Mediterranean food prepared daily from more than 100 fresh produce items.

Debbie Curtis, local managing partner for Taziki’s and hometown girl said, i am born and raised in Panama city. It was very important to reopen and recover. Hurricane Michael came and left, but we are still here,

If you are looking for a place to lay your head for the night Courtyard by Marriott is back open after completing renovations following damage from Michael.

Courtyard offers free high-speed internet, Fitness center, Pool, Meeting event space and more.

In the morning you can enjoy a delicious breakfast at the onsite bistro that serves up Starbucks specialty drinks and a healthy breakfast to get your day going.
