Gulf World helps the Boys and Girls Club by giving kids ‘10,000 Smiles’

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – Gulf World celebrated Children’s Day this Saturday with their ‘10,000 Smiles’ event.

Children’s Day is a chance to honor happy childhood memories and seventy five children got the opportunity to make their own memories as they swam and interacted with dolphins.

The event was also a fundraiser to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Bay County.

Organizers say Children’s Day is a chance to look at the positive in the world and form happy memories with family and friends.

“There’s a lot of bad things in the world that we want to not focus on. We want to be able to focus on good things and childhood memories and those smiles that we all enjoy seeing. So, it’s just a day we picked to actually really concentrate on the good,” said Pam George, the General Manager for Gulf World.

This is the third year Gulf World has participated in the event, but it’s the seventh year for partner ‘Dolphin Discovery,’ who hosts events around the globe.
