Gulf County Starts Hurricane Damage Repairs

News 13’s Alex Thorson reported live in Cape San Blas Monday afternoon.

Officials said Saturday night’s storm left debris on roads and in the water.

Through the night, workers patrolled the road near the stump hole, clearing it to keep it open for drivers.

On Monday they started working to build the rock wall back up.

Gulf County EOC officials say Hurricane Nate had a greater impact than that of Hurricane Irma.

They say the project will take several months to complete.
