Georgia Man Dies after drowning in Panama City Beach

BAY COUNTY, Fla. - In Panama City Beach, a Georgia man was pulled from the water unresponsive.

Reports say around 11:14 Saturday morning, officers responded to the area of the beach behind the Flamingo Motel in reference to a possible drowning. 

When they arrived, CPR was in progress. The man, 67 year-old Eugene Spann of Atlanta, was unresponsive and transported to the hospital.

Spann was declared dead at the hospital. 

Yellow flags were flying at the time of the incident. The cause of death is still under investigation.
